Erdem Sahin studied photography at the Kocaeli University Fine Arts department after leaving the physics education. He started working for European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) as a stringer photojournalist while he was still a photography student on 2013. He started working at Haberturk being the national newspapers and news television in Turkey at the end of 2014. While working here for nearly two and a half years, he never broke her connection with EPA and he worked for EPA at the same time. He resigned from Haberturk in mid-2017 and became a full-time photojournalist at EPA. He has covered as Gezi park protests, refugee crisis with the some part of Syria civil war and important political situations and elections in Turkey. Erdem still works at Turkey office of EPA.
