[ Uluberia, West Bengal, India ] A 21-day nationwide lockdown was imposed in India, with the effect from March 25, 2020, to try to halt the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic but that has brought transportation of goods in India to a near halt – nearly three lakh trucks with a payload worth INR 35000 crore have been stranded on highways across India. Chandan Kumar Yadav is one of them who has been stranded on National Highway 6, Uluberia, West Bengal, India. All these truckers have suffered a lot until the union ministry has finally eased the movement of trucks after 25 days.

Sayan HAZRA is an independent documentary storyteller based in India. So far Sayan has been focusing on personal projects because this is the only way he can work on subjects he deeply cares about. He believes in producing work that pushes boundaries and helps him grow as an artist and connects to an audience through a shared passion. He also loves to explore new techniques for documentary storytelling that are different from traditional narrative photojournalism. Sayan is very keen to introduce computer programs in his storytelling practice because he did graduation in computer science and engineering. Even Sayan has spent a good amount of time coding digital image processing algorithms before choosing photography as his primary medium of expression. Sayan has explored the visual medium through different masterclasses. He is a Foundry Photojournalism Workshop alumnus and received a VII Academy scholarship to attend the VII-photo masterclass 2018-19.
