Hkun Lat, a freelance documentary photographer from Myanmar based in Yangon, currently works at Frontier Myanmar Magazine. He works on his own projects and assignments for international news agencies and other organizations, including WWF, UNHCR, FAO, and UNOCHA. His interest in photography ignited in 2011 after the civil war resumed in his homeland, Kachin State. He started shooting individual projects for people to recognize and to witness ongoing and unsolved issues in Myanmar such as civil war, natural resources, and environmental issues, drugs, and opium out-rooting movements in Kachin State.
